What is the Open House? Who is it for?
Will you be joining us for our annual Open House and Reunion? This is an event you will not want to miss out on! Not only is this our largest event of the year, but it is an incredible opportunity for new families to come learn about camp while connecting with alumni, staff, directors, and currently enrolled families. As a favorite tradition, River Way has been coming to Southern California to reunite with past campers and staff, welcome new families to camp and share what makes River Way the place campers return to year after year. It does not matter if you have never been to sleep-away camp before or if you are a long time camper; all are welcome at this family-friendly event.
Families who have not yet made a decision on camp often tell us that this is the best event in helping their campers feel confident and prepared for camp life, easing both parent and child nerves.

Information: This is an opportunity to join us for our New Family Presentation at 3PM, where families are invited to listen to a presentation with our Camp Director, Ashley Oken, followed by a Q&A session. You will get a firsthand look at River Way’s facilities, program, and much more. This is the best time to have an in depth conversation with the Camp Directors and speak to returning families about their experiences. We will also be showcasing photos and videos from the past.
Community: Families tell us that their campers look forward to camp all year when school is in session, and the Open House & Reunion gives campers a chance to reunite with camp friends and beloved staff. This is also a wonderful way to meet your camp neighbors who may even be attending the same session as your child!
Prizes: All families who attend will be entered in a prize drawing (RSVP NOW for a bonus entry) where they will be eligible to win a FREE WEEK OF CAMP (up to $2,100 value)! We will also be giving away free camp store account credits ($140 value), round trip transportation ($150 value), and two soft trunks from everythingsummercamp.com.
Games & Fun: Children of all ages will enjoy our kids’ game room, with inflatables, carnival games, face painting, cotton candy and much more! Enthusiastic, kind counselors will be in the kids’ room to help children make new friends and participate in activities.
