Choosing a summer camp is about so much more than picking activities; it’s about finding a community you can trust for your child. With families currently planning their summer experiences, we know many of you are navigating the exciting process of finding the right fit for your child.

What is the Open House, and who is it for?

Whether you have already enrolled for your child’s first summer or you’re still exploring your options, the Open House is designed to give you total peace of mind. It is a day for:

New Families: If you’re wondering whether your child will make friends, or feel ready for camp, you’re not alone. Our Open House is the perfect space to ask questions, meet our team, and see firsthand what makes River Way one of the “Most Amazing Camps in the Nation.”
- Get the final answers you need to make a confident decision before our 2-week sessions hit capacity.

Returning Families: Enjoy a chance to reconnect with beloved counselors, swap summer memories, and start the countdown to what’s shaping up to be our most exciting season yet.

What to Expect

This isn’t a standard presentation. It’s an interactive afternoon where you can:

Meet the Directors: We’re excited to finally meet you in person. Say hello, put a face to the name, and get those last-minute questions answered
See our Role Models in Action: Watch our counselors interact with campers firsthand to see the level of care and energy they bring to River Way.
New Parent Orientation (2:30 PM): Join us for an informal session where we walk through the daily essentials of a first-time summer and explain the values that have made River Way a family favorite for 60 summers.
Kids’ Game Room: While parents explore and ask questions, campers can hang out, play games, and start making connections with other kids and counselors in a fun, relaxed setting. Many families arrive not knowing anyone and leave with familiar faces, new connections, and a lot more excitement about summer.
Prize Drawing: Get the chance to win prizes, including a FREE WEEK of camp (valued up to $3,200), and soft trunks from EverythingSummerCamp!
