Speciality Camps
Our Specialty Camps allow campers to focus in on a favorite activity, while still providing time to interact with other campers. Structured during the two morning activity periods, these programs offer specialized training from our expert level staff.
Wakeboard and Water-Ski campDesigned for Senior division campers who prefer to spend their time at the lake, campers may experience up to 20 hours of ski each week. Instructed on a private 35 acre lake using Competition Ski Nautique Boats, this program enables campers to learn and improve upon their skiing and wakeboarding abilities. With some of the most qualified instructors in the Nation, beginners learn the basics of wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and water-skiing. Beginners are taught on a ski boom and experience success on their first visit to the lake. While our more advanced campers learn trick-skiing, barefooting, jumping and slalom. Our skilled wakeboarders learn the elements of body position, board control, edging, jumping and spinning. In addition, they have the opportunity to advance their free riding skills wakeskating or wakesurfing. Campers also have the opportunity to review their performance on video, critique, and practice new skills on the trampoline. Wakeboard/ski campers have the option of skiing all day or returning to camp to participate in other activities. River Way is a member of the National Waterski Association. |
