Our Specialty Camps allow campers to focus in on a favorite activity, while still providing time to interact with other campers. Structured during the two morning activity periods, these programs offer specialized training from our expert level staff.

Performing Arts Program

Complete with auditions, set and costume design, dance, drama and voice coaching, rehearsal techniques, and all facets of theater production Performing Arts campers prepare and perform a dramatic or musical production. Campers from all theatre departments come together for a final performance each session.
Past shows include High School Musical, Grease, and the Lion King.

Magic Camp

River Way Ranch Camp is proud to introduce its new Magic Camp. Teaching this new camp is none other than Las Vegas Magician/Circus Artist Tony Blanco. Tony has appeared at Circus Circus as both Ringmaster and Official Clown for the Hotel/Casino. Tony has written articles for both Magic and Circus magazines as well as being the co-author of "Creative Clowning".Download our PDF with more information!

Dance Program

Similar to Performing Arts, the Dance Program encompasses all forms and styles of Dance. From Hip-Hop to modern, jazz to swing, campers prepare and perform a choreographed dance production.

Tech Lab Program

This program allows campers to learn the most current design programs in both Mac and PC. Campers will work with web design, digital graphics, River Way Camp newspaper, and digital photography. Campers will also be able to work on the camp slideshow and yearbook.

Film School

Campers will write, direct and produce their very own film. They will take their own ideas, turn them into a screenplay, cast the best actor for each role and then shoot, edit and screen the film. Campers will also be involved in producing the end of session video to be viewed by all of camp on the final Friday.

We will focus on: 1) Screen Writing; 2) Production (including lighting, sound, camera work and much more) 3) Post-Production 4) Editing Technologies.

Camper’s will have the ability to use Final Cut Pro, premier editing software used in the industry, and iMovie. They will use state of the art High Def and Digital Cameras. Download our PDF with more information!
