Safety First
Staff training includes classes which address motivation, vehicle orientation, safety, risk management, liability, discipline techniques, cabin orientation, homesickness, 101 Ways to Praise, building self-esteem, and hours of role-playing and practice. Ski instructors, wranglers, waverunner, paintball and ropes course staff must attend additional training specific to their activity.
Medical Care
An infirmary is staffed with a full-time doctor, registered nurse, and nurse's aide. A first response paramedic unit is within 20 minutes of the camp. The hospital is approximately 35 minutes from camp. Each camper must return the medical form prior to arrival.Nutrition
We provide 3 ample meals per day which feature at least two main entrees plus a daily salad & fruit bar. Other features may include a potato bar, taco bar, and a juice bar. There are always vegetarian options for each meal. All meals are served buffet style and allow campers an 'all you can eat' experience. Our staff is trained to monitor campers diets, making sure that campers eat sufficiently and that meals are well balanced. Special dietary needs may be noted in the medical form.Lifeguards
Waterfront staff members are required to have lifeguard training, first aid and CPR certificates. Additional training is required of all ski instructors and lifeguards. Certification is administered by the American Red Cross.
