RIVER WAY RANCH CAMP RAISES MONEY FOR L.A. CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
On September 18th River Way Ranch Camp was honored to compete in the Corporate Challenge of the 25th Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon. River Way athletes had challenged themselves to raise $10,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research for L.A. Children's Hospital, but with all the support from our families, campers and staff we were able to not only meet our goal, but surpass it. Team River Way raised a total of $14,860.
With over 50+ supporters alongside the beach, River Way was noted many times by the announcer as being the 'most spirited' team on the beach! River Way's supporters in their bright red shirts cheered on the 25 athletes from start to finish! Notably, Spike and Buddha each placed in the male 18-24 age division with Spike taking 3rd and Buddha placing 5th. Also, Team River Way placed 3rd in the Corporate Challenge! Way to go TEAM!
The event included a half-mile ocean swim, followed by an 18 mile bike ride through the hills on Pacific Coast Highway, and ended with a 4 mile run along the beach boardwalk.
We invite you to come out and cheer for your favorite staff member, or just show your Camp spirit, on Sunday, September 18th.
We cannot thank everyone enough for supporting Team River Way in every way imaginable. THANK YOU!
